Hi everyone!
I have recently started to interest in digital signatures, and I have some questions:
I heard that it's not as safe as it looks, because you can get a digital signature from companies who do that for a payment and they don't neseccarily check each person and verify their authenticity, so what's your opinion?
Is it safe?
Is is just a plan to earn money?
How much does the user aware of the meaning of digital signature?
If you know surveys or researches regarding how does that message box of "Unknown publisher" effect the costumer or statistics and advantages/disadvantages I'll be glad. |

In my opinion people that download something usually want it then and there. When the annoying popup shows their default behavior usually is to get rid of the popup and run it anyway.
Plus people forget whether or not the application in question was signed, after they ran it. |
