Well I have a basic knowledge of computer junk but what I really need is a explanation of how to use and exploit on a Vb board version 3.5.4 Well I want to completely destroy the forum, I have a good reason if there is one. Well a while back they destroyed a relatively successful forum of mine and now they have tried again so now it is over I am getting them back. So some help would be great thanks.

I?ve just registered here because I?m wondering about the same thing, for a slightly similar reason. As far as I can tell, the best chance anyone has of destroying a forum that uses vBulletin 3.5.4 is by means of a file inclusion vulnerability in ImpExModule.php, ImpExController.php, and ImpExDisplay.php. It?s described a little here.

I haven?t figured out how to actually exploit it, though. So if anyone else here could explain how to do this, I would appreciate it.

I?ve already searched. I know about the exploit described there, but it can only be used against forums that are running MKPortal. The forum I?m interested in attacking is just a plain vBulletin forum without MKPortal, and I suspect this is true of the forum VWE described also.

What I?d really like to know is how to exploit the file inclusion vulnerability in the three PHP files I mentioned. I can write my own PHP file and upload it somewhere in order to inject commands into the target scripts, but I don?t know exactly what I?ll need to put in my own script in order to do something such as break into the administrator?s account at the target forum. Can anyone else here give me further instructions on how to do this?

there is many ways how to create own shells, but for this inclusion
you can use simpliest one-liner ever: <? system($cmd); ?>

Can you tell me a little more than this? I?d also like to know what the PHP code would be for something like changing the password or e-mail address of the forum administrator. (If I change the e-mail address of his account to something that belongs to me, I can reset his password via e-mail.)

I think what would be best is if you could show me a complete script for doing this, so I can upload it somewhere and try using it to exploit this vulnerability. That might be useful for VWE also.

Sorry for the double post but I have a question. To use an exploite do I copy it into a topic on the fourm? and if that is how you do it could some be kind enough to fill out the exploit specific to the forum I hate?

In the case of this exploit, what someone would need to do is write a PHP shell script containing commands that attack the target forum, upload this script to a website, and then send a request to the target forum such that these commands would be injected into the vulnerable scripts there. But what I still need to know is exactly what I should put in the PHP shell script so that it would take advantage of this vulnerability. Can anyone explain this?
