If you type only "hydra", then of course you get banner, because program does not know, what you want. So type "hydra" with needed command line arguments. How it appears to be corrupt? Error messages from Zip unpacker? By the way, Antiviruses can tag this file as Hacktool or similar malicious software. So you need to add exception to Antivirus settings or disable AV temporarily. Otherwise AV can just delete (or "repair") zip archive silently and such situation may appear as corrupted download. I have done as you tell (no Antivirus and no Firewall) and I have found in zip downloaded 6 files (before they was only 4 files). So hydra now results not corrupted, and it runs good.
