Hi. I'm running a prog right now who is suppose to crack real fast, but it has been running for over 12 hour now and is not even close to crack it.
I've found it here it's called LHC. Maybe i'm doing something wrong. Or my charset is too big? Dunno.
I also search for 3 day all sort of database on the net. No succes.
Can anyone help!

Well been running LHC every chance i got (wich is a lot), still no result.
Anyone even tried them?
Also anyway i could speed up the process?
And another question, how do i retrieve hash from a web site? |

you should try out BarsWF which is a lot faster than LHC (I tested both of them on the same system and BarsWF is running like 2x faster for me), the only problem is that barswf is cracking md5 hashes ONLY and with no SALT (which I don't get why btw, coz if you make a program like that, why don't you implement such thing as --prepend or --append). Anyways this seems your case: plain md5 hases, no salt, so it's worth a shot.
edit: I can tell you for experience that the first one may be easier to crack (hashes starting with "b" seems to be a lot easier to me between all the hashes I cracked). |

OMG! It's so fast i cant believe it!! It pass through lenght of 6 in the blink of an eye.
I also install cuda (wich i dint know about, newfag)
But is it possible to tune it down just a little? Because of temp issue?

I'm not comfortable letting my pc run at those temp. I soon as i turn barsw off, temp drop at 75 for my first cpu. |

Prolly you can go about it just setting process' priority to normal- (which is one step under normal). That way the process is updated slower and the process will use less your CPU, but it will also affect the process' performance (eaning less HASH/Sec). Anyway, with that speed you are gonna crack 7+ passwords in a few hours... |

I found a GUI for it at this adress. It's awesome.
Last link on the page.

I reduce the speed from 500 to 350 but still it uses 100% of cpu and temp is at the same has with a speed of 500. |

Well, I think that if you want to crack that hashes with barswf, you 'll have to heat up a bit your chips heh
I don't know if it's better to run 4 weeks of cracking at lower temperatures or 3 days at higher ones... |

Yeah, since i dont have the money to take any risk of frying my motherboard, i'll wait till it's colder outside and open the windows. It's getting near freezing point outside at night, it will help. |
