How do I execute a Perl script on a Mac? I have terminal and automator, I just don't know how to use it, since everything online seems to be for windows.
Thanks for any help I can get.

If you don't have Perl installed yet, then try for example ActivePerl:

I downloaded it, but it doesn't seem to be an application in OSX, just an addition to Console. I tried opening the script with Console, but it didn't execute.

Download this
Code:
http://downloads.activestate.com/ActivePerl/releases/5.10.1.1007/ActivePerl-5.10.1.1007-darwin-9.8.0-291969.dmg

you don't need to execute on terminal just double click on it..

then just execute in terminal:
Code:
perl <scriptname>
