It's an md5 hash, that's true. PHPBB1 and 2 used simple md5's for password encryption.

Trying with passwordspro and hashcat at the moment. Can't use any GPU bruteforcer at the moment for some reasons.

Tried some dictionaries this afternoon but I didn't get any result.

does it matter what program you use if you use it with the same dictionary?

Maybe phpBB modified by Przemo © 2003 has a different hash than original phpBB (md5)?
It's only my suggestion, but you're master !

Nope, just that hashcat is faster than passwordspro Smile Passwordspro tends to use one thread of a cpu instead of all of them. With my dictionaries, it saves me quite some time mostly. Especially for hybrid attacks for example.

And WiKiH, it's an md5 hash for sure. But it could be another algorithm, like md5(md5(pass) or it could be salted too.

My dictionaries are posted here. The program passwordspro is available at insidepro.com.

I've tried md5, md5(md5(pass)) and md5(md5(md5(pass))). But nothing found ... A possibility is that it's a strong password like "Ã))qsdçs45" for example, which is almost impossible to find Confused
