Some Malaysian (I know this from mails IP) hacked into my friends account changed the password and is sending mails to his contacts saying my friend is in trouble and he needs them to send money via WesternUnion, Now, I tried contacting Yahoo security but they need exact information entered during the signup which my friend do not remember now, he is however willing to provide proof's like details about the account (old password, what mails lie inside, contacts etc.) and Govt. ID's and credit card details to prove his identity, but Yahoo does not seem to help.

So pls. tell is there any possibility of getting that account back, my frnd is also ready to pay for the job.

i have almost same problem, yahoo cannot provide you with help due to client confidentiality... there are some ways to solve your problem... however, my problem is bigger... maybe only waraxe can solve it...
if you need help with that, send an email with your msn or yahoo id at semaione_teg@yahoo.com and i'll contact you...(note this is not my primary mail...)

Google "Access Diver", download a good word list, download a good proxy list, try to get the more info you can on the guy that owns the account, add the possible passwords you can extrapolate from the info you got, run access diver, and see if you can get your account back. This is the best help you will receive

Hmm I heard that access diver was really not recommended? any thoughts on that?
