Nothing. Although it can be very complicated, all hashed passwords can be brute forced in exactly the same manner that all passwords can be hashed. All you are doing is encoding the input or output, which is insecure. To use your "uncrackable" passwords on a website, the back end would have to be able to decode your encoded hash. Any idiot could reverse engineer the encode algorithm and break your "uncrackable" hash. Ok, thats all in theory. In reality it is going to take some brains to crack that... and a lot of trial and error. But still, it is possible. So i thought maybe someone will come, and crack it and say "hey you idiot this was too easy its only stupidshit45" Posted: Wed May 21, 2008 9:53 pm lenny Valuable expert Joined: May 15, 2008 Posts: 275 Granted that would be some seriously huge rainbow table Posted: Wed May 21, 2008 10:07 pm singh Regular user Joined: May 21, 2008 Posts: 14 yea thats true, but I seen some admins here reply to topics asking for hash help, and some of the hashes came out to be things like jkn423 etc so how the hell ... rainbow tables? i dont know.. you know wats really fucked up is, a while back, any of you are famiular with neocrome.net , they had a link on the forums to a tool, MD5 hash creater but it had a reverse as well, and it was able to find my old pw, 5hjqs which i dont use anymore, but it gave me that instantly, now i need the tool again an the forums have been deleted or w/e and the post is not there anymore, and google searching for hours, and everyone is saying its impossible, but i've god damn done it before in 1 second used a tool, at the time thought nothing of it because it was so simple thought there was dozens of them aroudn, yea right..
