Even better, use Firefox with Live HTTP Headers Add-On or Wireshark and look for response code - 400, 500, 403, 200 ... And try LENGTH() against that specific column to be sure, that it's not empty. One more thing - possible collation problem, or pass column is blob type. In this case try SUBSTR(HEX()) and retrieve info in hexadecimal representation. Use information_schema. information_schema.columns --> DATA_TYPE, CHARACTER_MAXIMUM_LENGTH Then test for real data length and find out if it's >0. And by the way, real world is not perfect ... I have seen lot's of unexplained anomalies in sql injection exploitation process ...
