I participate to a forum, I'm moderator. Unfortunaltely, we have no news of the administrator. So the forum has many spams ...
We would like to give administrator allows to a moderator. Do you know how to hack a forum ? The version is 2.0.21.
It's very important for our forum. Thank you for your help.

phpBB 2.0.21 is beside phpBB3 the newest version. Afaik there is no discovered vulnerability. Otherwise you could try to search for phpBB 2.0.21 vulnerability or exploit or something else.

phpBB 3 is a completly recoded major release. So there has nothing to be updated to phpBB at the moment, because phpBB 2.0.21 is iirc the most current build of the phpBB 2 major release, which is the stable release.

Depending on the used FTP daemon.
If it is a common used FTPd like ProFTPd I would say it's harder. Of course if it is an fixed version. Wink
