Posted: Sat Jul 09, 2005 1:40 pm erila Regular user Joined: May 30, 2005 Posts: 8 Other than hoping that the owner of a site has left the changelog file in the docs folder, how can you reliably identify the version of a PHPBB site? I'm trying to figure out the version number of one and it states at the bottom its 2.0.15 but its said that for ages (I'm pretty sure when it first said that version, it didn't exist.) Is there a better way to find out than just trying tons of exploits to see which ones work? I was hoping there would be a less, er, agressive way of getting the version number than testing out tons of exploits, perhaps an error response or a change of some text somewhere...
