i hate bruteforce !! (because i never got anything with it Laughing Laughing Laughing )
anyway it could be an idea, with lot of pc doing the same job it would be pretty fast, maybe you can use the same techinque i saw on .zip cracker lol
i mean, you have 5 pc working , so the programs divide the workspace to test in 5 parts and each pc test one

Distributed Bruteforce can be done in 2 ways:

1. there are people, who are agree to share their computer cpu ticks
2. there are zombies, who will share machine cpu ticks unwillingly

Who knows, how many computers on whole internet are right now, in this very moment, busy with md5 bruteforcing for some bad guys Very Happy

Just get a Tyan Thunder K8QS PRO like me http://www.tyan.com/products/html/thunderk8qspro.html ...... soon. Not only does it support 4x AMD 64 bit Opterons But has 16 DIMM slots which means up to 36gb of DDR2 RAM Along with 4 SATA ports and two gigabit LAN ports. I'd probably have WinXP on it and SUSE's New Server Platform.
