If it's >10 chars long password, then that NT hash is extremely hard to crack, if it's not in wordlists of course. You need either special hardware or botnet for distributed cracking.

There are utilities that can replace windows password hashes in hard drive. It's actually easier way compared to password cracking.

Will appreciate any help in cracking the following NT hash:
Code:

I have tried ophcrack 'vista free' table
and project-rainbowcrack 'ntlm_loweralpha-numeric#1-7' table

edit: I've also tried the ntlm loweralpha 1-8 characters
I've started creating the 56 gig rainbow table for 1-9 loweralpha characters but have given up, I estimate it will take me 30 days to complete.
There's probably no guarantee that it will work.

Thanks waraxe appreciate your effort
unfortunately I'd already reset my windows password
