I have this NT hash for vista. No LM hash came up on the ophcrack screen. It may be longer than 8 characters and it may have special characters. I have had no luck on my own. Can you help?

hi, I forgot my passord on an old laptop. I know it probably is a mixture of my name and some other characters but can't remember it exactly, really annoying.
Can anyone help, I've tried all the tools that I could find. It's a vista OS with NTLM hash (not easy I know):

You can try mask attack, if you know part of the password (your name?). |

Ah OK mask attack. I didn't know about this. I'm pretty sure that the password should have my name "paul" or it backwards "luap" somewhere in it. I'm not sure on the other characters though.
How do you do a mask attack? |
