Alright, first of all, hello everyone, I'm rather new to this, yadda yadda...

I know this situation has been given and discussed several times before, but hasn't been solved to a point where I can understand it yet. This topic fits it perfectly; I've got admin-access to a CuteNews 1.4.5 system, but I have trouble uploading the PHP-shell. The shell is on my webserver as well as on my hard drive, of course. I have followed all the steps that have been described, but as said, I haven't gotten far enough. All of the topics have been abandoned and left with open questions (at least from my point of view), and since topic reviving can be quite annoying, I'm starting this one.

Thus, I would like somebody to answer (maybe even give a step-by-step instruction) the question on what to do now, edit the templates to include the shell. I have already tried things like this, and derivated versions of that, with little success. I got to see the config.php, but I had to undo it to cover any traces quickly.
Can I simply replace that PHP-function in the end by linux-commands, such as webgetting my shell?

Thank you very much in advance,

~Final
