my question is very simple. i have the username and a password from a phpbb forum as a moderator user.

can anyone tell me how can i take a backup of the database cause i dont have access like the admin has?

if it complicated to explain and can anyone do it for me then just send me a pm to communicate.

thanx in advance.

It all depends on your version, can you give us an idea of what you are working with?
If the version isn't on the bottom of a page, try going to http://www.yoursite.com/phpbb2/ (or phpbb3 or forum or whatever the directory is) and deducing the version first.

Moderator status does not get you the ability to download database. Phpbb 3.x is not easily hackable, so your best chance is to look for other ways to get in. Is that forum on dedicated server on shared hosting? If it's shared hosting, then search for neighbour websites on same server with know-to-be-exploitable software. Or use vulnerabilities scanner (Acunetix or similar).
