annoying error |

Hopefully this is the right section,
i have this really annoying error or a couple i cant figure out.
mysql_fetch_object(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in
mysql_close(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL-Link resource in
code:
| Code: | $res = mysql_query("$request",$link_db) or die("Could not request data");
while ($res = mysql_fetch_object ($res))
{
$link = $res->link;
}
$data = "UPDATE links SET counter=counter+1 WHERE id='$id'";
$res = mysql_query("$data",$link_db) or die("Could not request data");
mysql_close($links_db); |
why am i getting the bloody errors! |

You have problem with $res being overwritten.
And you have typo with "$links_db".
Try something like this:

while ($res2 = mysql_fetch_object ($res))
{
$link = $res2->link;
}
$data = "UPDATE links SET counter=counter+1 WHERE id='$id'";
$res = mysql_query("$data",$link_db) or die("Could not request data");
mysql_close($link_db);
