Well, all depends from processing power. Best choice is distributed cracking. If some person ("master") will have control over thousands zombie computers ("slaves"), then md5 bruteforcing can be amazingly fast.

MD5 speed:

5 081 455 MD5 hashes/sec.

Current time needed to break all 8 chars length passwords :

[a-zA-Z0-9]{1,8} ... 497 days
[a-z0-9]{1,8} ...... 6 days

zer0-c00l,

My Rainbow Tables are over 3Gig and I have to put them to a DVD-Rom. If you would like a copy I can send them out for the cost of shipping and the disk. It is usually around $7 USD to cover all cost and shipping. If you like send me an e-mail (slimjim100(at)hotmail.com) with your address and I can tell you the actual cost to send it to ya. If you wait about 2 weeks I will also have the MD5 tables complete (well I will have the Alpha-Numeric Tables).

Right now I have,
LM-Alpha
LM-Alpha-Numeric
NTLM-Alpha
MD5-Alpha-Numeric (almost complete)

zer0-c00l,

I have sent the disk to Australia, Estonia, Indonesia, and in the USA so I don?t think Brazil will be a problem and I think it would only cost about $4.00 to send it there. You have 1 Gig storage with g-mail so how would I upload the tables to you? I can?t e-mail them at 625Mb per table X 5 tables. Do you have an FTP? E-mail me and we can talk slimjim100(at)hotmail.com.

Slimjim100

You have a g-mail account, Can you still invite a friend for a free account?

With some real dictionary hashes, it should take an hour or so =)

l0phtcrack will brute force in less than two days.
